Understanding our refund and cancellation terms for services and products

1. Introduction
At Royal Ceiling & Interiors, we strive to provide exceptional service and quality workmanship. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and related matters for our interior design and installation services.
2. Service Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellation by Client Before Work Begins
If you wish to cancel your project before work has commenced:
- • Within 24 hours of contract signing: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- • 24-72 hours after contract signing: 80% refund (20% cancellation charges)
- • After 72 hours but before work starts: 70% refund (30% cancellation charges)
- • After site survey and design finalization: 60% refund (40% cancellation charges)
Note: Any materials already purchased specifically for your project are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.
2.2 Cancellation After Work Has Started
If you cancel after work has commenced:
- • Payment for all completed work will be due
- • Cost of materials purchased and used
- • 20% of the remaining contract value as cancellation charges
- • Any materials purchased but not yet installed are non-refundable
- • Labor costs for work in progress
2.3 How to Cancel
To cancel your project:
- Send a written cancellation request to info@royalceiling.in
- Include your contract number and project details
- State the reason for cancellation (optional but appreciated)
- We will respond within 48 hours with cancellation confirmation
- Refund will be processed within 7-10 business days
3. Refund Policy
3.1 Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:
- • Project cancellation as per the terms above
- • Duplicate payment made by error
- • We are unable to fulfill the contract due to circumstances on our end
- • Significant defects in workmanship that cannot be rectified
- • Material defects covered under warranty (subject to manufacturer terms)
3.2 Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable:
- • Custom-made or specially ordered materials
- • Materials that have been cut, installed, or modified
- • Design consultation fees (after designs are delivered)
- • Site survey and measurement charges
- • Materials purchased from third-party suppliers
- • Labor costs for completed work
- • Administrative and processing fees
3.3 Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed as follows:
- • Bank Transfer/UPI: 5-7 business days
- • Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 business days
- • Cheque: 10-15 business days
- • Cash Payments: Refunded via bank transfer only
4. Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Project Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your project:
- • First Rescheduling: Free of charge if notified 48 hours in advance
- • Second Rescheduling: ₹1,000 rescheduling fee
- • Third Rescheduling: ₹2,500 rescheduling fee
- • Less than 48 hours notice: ₹5,000 rescheduling fee
4.2 Rescheduling by Company
If we need to reschedule due to circumstances on our end, there will be no charges, and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative date. In case of significant delays, you may choose to cancel without penalty.
5. Warranty Claims and Defects
5.1 Workmanship Warranty
We provide a workmanship warranty as specified in your contract (typically 1-2 years). During the warranty period:
- • Defects in workmanship will be repaired free of charge
- • We will assess the issue within 48 hours of notification
- • Repairs will be completed within a reasonable timeframe
- • No refunds are provided for warranty repairs
5.2 Material Defects
For material defects:
- • Covered under manufacturer warranty terms
- • We will assist in filing warranty claims
- • Replacement materials will be installed at no additional labor cost (if within our workmanship warranty period)
- • Refunds are subject to manufacturer policies
5.3 Non-Warranty Issues
The following are not covered under warranty and are non-refundable:
- • Normal wear and tear
- • Damage from misuse, negligence, or accidents
- • Modifications by third parties
- • Damage from natural disasters
- • Issues arising from structural defects in the building
- • Color variations due to lighting or aging
- • Client-requested changes after completion
6. Product Returns (Shop Items)
6.1 Return Eligibility
Products purchased from our shop may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:
- • Product is unused and in original packaging
- • All tags and labels are intact
- • Product is not damaged or modified
- • Original invoice is provided
6.2 Non-Returnable Products
The following products cannot be returned:
- • Custom-made or specially ordered items
- • Cut or modified materials
- • Electrical items that have been installed
- • Products purchased on clearance or sale
- • Items without original packaging
6.3 Return Process
To return a product:

- Provide order number and reason for return
- Wait for return authorization
- Pack the product securely in original packaging
- Ship to our address or arrange pickup (shipping costs may apply)
- Refund will be processed after inspection (5-7 business days)
6.4 Return Shipping Costs
- • Defective Products: We cover return shipping
- • Wrong Item Sent: We cover return shipping
- • Change of Mind: Customer covers return shipping
- • Damaged in Transit: We cover return shipping
7. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued in the following cases:
- • Product returned with minor damage not caused by us
- • Product returned without original packaging
- • Product returned after the 7-day return window (at our discretion)
- • Partial project completion with mutual agreement
The refund amount will be determined based on the condition of the product or extent of work completed.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Refund Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision:
- Contact our customer service team with your concerns
- Provide supporting documentation (photos, videos, etc.)
- We will review your case within 3-5 business days
- A senior manager will make the final decision
- If still unsatisfied, you may pursue legal remedies
8.2 Mediation
We encourage resolving disputes through good faith negotiation. If necessary, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
9. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances
In case of events beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.):
- • Projects may be delayed without penalty
- • You may choose to wait or cancel without cancellation charges
- • Refunds will be provided for advance payments minus costs already incurred
- • We will work with you to find the best solution
10. Payment Method Specific Refunds
- • Bank Transfer/UPI: Refunded to the same account
- • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the same card
- • Cash Payments: Refunded via bank transfer (provide account details)
- • Cheque: Refunded via bank transfer or cheque
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. However, any changes will not affect existing contracts unless mutually agreed upon.
